[ARCHIVED] PACTS 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program Amendment

PACTS 2023-2026 Transportation Improvement Program Amendment

All federally funded projects must be in the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and the MPO’s Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) in order to receive federal funding.  These projects are located in the PACTS area and are funded with Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration funds. PACTS must update the TIP when there is a change to any project such as funding or a request to add a project to the TIP.  Those changes must also be reflected in the MaineDOT STIP.   MaineDOT must receive the PACTS Executive or Policy Board endorsement when any federally funded project has a major scope change or cost increase or when MaineDOT wishes to add a project to the STIP.  All TIP amendments must be posted to the GPCOG website for a 10-Day comment period. This TIP amendment was posted for public comment on 6/23/2023.

MaineDOT is seeking a TIP amendment for the following:

  • Amend the current 2023-2026 TIP to add a WIN for 2024 paving in Windham and Gray along Route 115/202 (WIN 027714.00). The scope involves the application of ultra-thin bonded wearing course on Route 115 beginning 0.07 of a mile west of the Gray town line and extending east 0.08 of a mile, and on Route 202 beginning at Depot Street and extending north 8.72 miles. The funding for this project is $3,261,414, which is 80% federal funds and 20% local funds.

Public comment on this TIP Amendment will be accepted until July 3rd, 2023. Public comments can be emailed to staff at transportation@gpcog.org.
