Responsibilities

Chris oversees all transportation initiatives for the Portland Area Comprehensive Transportation System's (PACTS) 18 member municipalities in the Portland region. His team includes transportation and land-use planners employed by the Greater Portland Council of Governments (GPCOG) . He also works directly with member municipal and transit officials, PACTS committees and the Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT).

Professional Experience

Chris worked most recently at Maine Medical Center, where he's been the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Program Manager since 2018. His work there was highlighted by successfully rebranding and reinvigorating the hospital's alternative commuting program and helping to launch a free bus program for 12,000 employees. Prior to joining MaineHealth, Chris worked six years as a consultant at Michael Baker International, where he led transportation projects for local, regional, and state agencies. 

Prior to joining GPCOG, Chris served on the PACTS Transit Committee and the Transit Tomorrow Advisory Committee.

Education

Chris earned his Master's in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech.
