Responsibilities

Tony leads membership services and collaborative initiatives for and with the Greater Portland Tony leads membership services and collaborative initiatives for and with the Greater Portland Council of Government's member communities, developing and delivering quality work in conjunction with other agency staff, managing GPCOG's cooperative purchasing and EPA brownfields programs, and facilitating efforts to cooperate and collaborate across the region. Tony also serves as GPCOG’s chief operating officer, with responsibilities in human resources, information technology, performance management and contracting and procurement functions.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining GPCOG, Tony served for more than 20 years as town manager in Windham, participating in numerous regional initiatives with GPCOG, ecomaine, Cumberland County and the City of Portland.

As Windham town manager and throughout his more than 35 years in local government, Tony has worked to improve planning, budgeting, and performance improvement efforts.

Education

Tony has done graduate study in public administration at the University of New Hampshire, coursework in performance management through University of Massachusetts Boston, and earned a Bachelor's degree in public management from the University of Maine.
